In a unanimous decision, the council gave its final approval for the construction of the Carlton Plaza Senior Living Community on Fifth Street. Construction is due to begin in September and will last about 14 months. The plaza will be built on 2.5 acres and contain 103 assisted care units, housing up to 127 people.
