When you close your eyes and envision a retirement home or assisted living facility, what image comes to mind? If you’ve paid any attention to the negative press coverage that this industry has received because of those that have tried to abuse the system, you might think of cramped rooms and insensitive staff members who treat residents like children, or worse. In our facilities, we seek to remind people that elder care doesn’t have to mean that you are restricted from living the comfortable life you always imagined in retirement, and it should never mean that your rights or desires are ignored.
