If the resident needs additional support, a medication management plan will be offered.

What is the cost for living in an assisted living community?

Apartments vary in cost and it is dependent upon the size and types of services needed by the residents. Generally the cost is less than nursing home care and home health services. There are financial options that can be discussed with you when you contact one of Carlton Senior Living Retirement Counselors.

Can you prevent residents from falling?

Unfortunately, no. It is extremely important to know that no community or even nursing home can prevent a resident from falling. With the aging process there is a heightened risk of falls. Our team of professionals at Carlton Senior Living decided to take a proactive approach knowing that so many seniors face this risk every day. As a result of their efforts, they were recognized for its Fall Awareness Program, which was developed by physical therapist Karen Beernink-Engle, the spouse of Carlton Senior Living owner Don Engle. As part of the new program, all current residents underwent risk assessments, including medications analysis and fall histories, and received individualized action plans that feature goals and strategies for achieving them. Each Carlton Senior Living community was examined for environmental hazards that needed to be eliminated or reduced.

What is the extent of the personal care services provided to residents?

Our trained and professional staff is available on site 24 hours a day to provide assistance with activities of daily living. This may include assistance with bathing, medication, dressing, grooming, escorting and ambulation.
