Ingredients 8 oz block cream cheese, softened 8 oz freshly grated Parmesan cheese, from the fresh pasta or deli cheese section 1 cup mayonnaise 1 can quartered artichoke hearts, drained and chopped in half 1 – 1.5 oz minced garlic, found in the spice section Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Her father attended Chico State University and was a school principal in Ashland, California but he felt he could not raise his family well on such an income. He ultimately decided to enlist in the U.S. Army but was denied due to colorblindness and instead became a welder for the shipyards in Oakland. In 1947, the Burt’s welcomed a son and both children were raised in El Cerrito. Harriett was considered to be very bright in her youth but chose to focus on activities other than her studies. Meet Carlton Senior Living spotlight resident, Jeannette MacDonald – Jeannette was born on July 8, 1938 in Glendale, California to Mary Louise and Malcolm MacDonald. She was raised in the town of Eagle Rock, in northeast Los Angeles. Jeannette has one brother, Malcom, who is two years younger than her. When they were children, they loved to run around barefoot in the foothills, “where there were snakes, ticks, and poison oak.” One of Jeannette’s most memorable moments from her childhood was learning to ride a horse.
