The Alzheimer’s Association is close to our hearts at Carlton Senior Living as the need for our Memory Care program continues to grow. For over 32 years, we have striven to provide the best possible care for our residents through education, specialized programs and unique services which are especially paramount to those affected by the disease. That is why we proudly support The Alzheimer’s Association, an American non-profit organization that focuses on care, support, and research for Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
Dave Coluzzi, President of Carlton Senior Living, represents over 1,500 residents and as many as 1,100 employees who are advocating for the cause. Coluzzi emphasizes that “Carlton cares for many seniors afflicted with this terrible disease and supports the loving staff that provides their care 24/7. It is important to support this cause and to acknowledge those with this disease, those who care for them, and those who love them. It’s an honor to support such a worthy cause.”
The Alzheimer’s Association has been involved in every major advancement in Alzheimer’s and related dementias research since the 1980’s and is a global leader in the fight for a world without Alzheimer’s. It’s estimated that over 5 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s and this number is projected to rise to 16 million by 2050, that’s why our support of this organization is so critical.
“I want to continue to provide all the resources we need to enrich everyone’s lives, and supporting the Alzheimer’s Association is a wonderful way to do just that,” says Coluzzi. In 2017, Carlton Senior Living is proud to have raised over $36,700 for The Alzheimer’s Association through the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and are close to surpassing our 2016 fundraising total of $38,000.
Join the cause by making a donation to provide care and support programs, advance research and advocate for the rights and needs of all those facing Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia.
Together we can end Alzheimer’s.
