The Challenge

Carlton Senior Living originally faced several unique challenges with their communication needs:

  • How to communicate to over 1,300 people across multiple locations in California as quickly as possible in the event of an emergency
  • How to gather nursing staff feedback –from the “eyes and ears” of the organization
  • How to manage unexpected changes in staff scheduling at any given moment

Right Audience, Right Time

Initially, AlertMedia helped Carlton to implement the intuitive system to send both staff and residents notifications of critical events that could impact the facility and its residents. The administrative staff sends most of their messages to landlines within residents’ rooms that have an audio notification readily available. These types of emergency situations can be a matter of life and death and it is imperative that staff is able to communicate with the right audience at the right time within a matter of seconds.

Creative Solutions and possibilities
