Resident Spotlight – Doris Miller

doris-millerDoris Miller has been living at Carlton Senior Living Downtown Pleasant Hill for 5 years. She and her husband Charles; deceased, were married for 58 years and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

Doris was born in Berkeley, California attended grammar school and then moved to Oakland, attending Claremont Jr. High and University High School. She graduated from San Francisco State College with a B.A. and elementary teacher credentials. She taught in Mt. Diablo United Schools for 30 years and has been retired 35 years.

Her many interests are travel, world affairs, spectator sports, and art world. Her move to Downtown Pleasant Hill has given her many friends and new interests to explore. Her children make the frosting on the cake!
