Mother’s Day Holds a Special Meaning for the Miller Family

Carlton Senior Living loves to spotlight our wonderful residents and appreciate it when family members, like this dedicated daughter, join in the process.

Miller Family“Mother’s Day has a very big impact on the Miller family. Doris Miller, resident of Carlton Senior Living Downtown Pleasant Hill, our beloved matriarch leaves her mark on all of our family members. This photo was taken on her 98th birthday this past January. Doris touches each one of us with the gift of acceptance and unconditional love.

Resident ArtworkThis gracious and open-hearted offering of love also extends to a very special young lady who lives in India. Tseten, now a 21 year refugee who escaped from Chinese occupied Tibet in 2006 has been sponsored by a family member for the past 12 years. Doris calls Tseten, her Tibetan grand-daughter. In a greeting card that she recently painted for Tseten honoring her high school graduation, Doris wrote touching words encouraging Tseten ‘to fly’ into her future. Tseten and Doris have not met in person but Tseten knows that she is very much a part of the Miller family, Doris’ family.”
