Carlton University Educates & Empowers Employees AND Residents

We are excited to introduce our new Carlton University program for residents!

Carlton University is our in-house training and continuing education program for employees. In March, we expanded Carlton University’s scope to include monthly classes for residents. In their first class, residents learned about Carlton’s disaster and emergency response protocols and procedures. Eric DeMuth, the Carlton University instructor who taught this month’s class, used his great sense of humor and empathic teaching style to make the classes a fun and engaging learning experience. Those in attendance noted that they felt safer and better informed about what to do in an emergency.

In April, residents are learning about common dementia myths and how to debunk them.

Our activities managers are renewing their focus on cerebral activities in 2023. Our Carlton University classes are a great opportunity for residents to learn and keep their minds active. Please encourage your loved one to attend! Download the community newsletter for more information.
