She got her nickname when she was born; her mother told her that she was covered in a light fuzz like a baby chick. Chickie worked for IBM in a clerical position, and as a bookkeeper for the plumbing company her father-in-law started. Her husband, Dave, later took over the company. Connie, Romeo and their three children, Fey, Ronald and Milagros, relocated to the United States during the Vietnam War. Although her husband sadly passed away in 2013, he and Connie are the proud grandparents of six grandchildren. While living in the Philippines, Connie attended Philippine Normal University in Manila and received a degree for teaching. She then taught in the Philippines for 10 years. Ingredients 8 oz block cream cheese, softened 8 oz freshly grated Parmesan cheese, from the fresh pasta or deli cheese section 1 cup mayonnaise 1 can quartered artichoke hearts, drained and chopped in half 1 – 1.5 oz minced garlic, found in the spice section Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
