Meet Carlton Senior Living spotlight resident, Sharon Ross – Sharon Ruth Hill Ross was born on May 28, 1941, in Ironwood, Michigan to parents Ruth and Bernard Hill. Bernard, her father, was very smart and climbed up the ladder in his career. He eventually oversaw the maintenance department at a steel mill. She has one younger brother, Bernard Jr. They still talk on the phone often and he is eager to drive out to visit her here at Carlton Senior Living Davis. Meet Carlton Senior Living spotlight resident, Pamela “Pam” Wingo – Pam was born on March 19, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Pearl and Benjamin Marton. She has five siblings: Katherine, Barbara, twins David and Donald, and Gary. All of Pam’s siblings hope to have a reunion soon. Some of Pam’s favorite childhood memories are of playing with her brothers and sisters. All of them are close in age and they enjoyed playing hopscotch, dominoes, jump rope and baseball together in the backyard. When she was little her family moved to Nicolaus, California. They made the move because her father’s brothers were both in the service and her grandfather needed help with his farm. After the war, her uncles joined them in Nicolaus and they created their own business, the Spangler Brothers Inc., which is still up and running. She was raised in the town of Eagle Rock, in northeast Los Angeles. Jeannette has one brother, Malcom, who is two years younger than her. When they were children, they loved to run around barefoot in the foothills, “where there were snakes, ticks, and poison oak.” One of Jeannette’s most memorable moments from her childhood was learning to ride a horse. He was born in a two-story water-tank house in Hayward, California, on the eastern side of the San Francisco Bay. Ernie was one of four children. He had one brother, James, and two sisters, Scharlene and Lorraine, who went by Dolly. He and his siblings were very close. He had three brothers and a sister. Dan has eight children; he and his first wife had three children together and his second wife, Doris, already had five daughters when they married.
