
Lifelong Learner, Mary, Took Up Quilting at Age 80
At the age of 80, Carlton Senior Living Downtown Pleasant Hill resident, Mary, decided it was time for her to stop doing alterations for family and friends but she wasn’t ready to stop sewing. In 2002, quilt shops and quilting classes were very popular so Mary talked her daughter into taking a class with her to see if this was something she wanted to pursue. After this first class, which met once a week for six weeks, Mary and her daughter were hooked.
