All American Pet Photo Day

At Carlton Senior Living we seized the opportunity to charge our smart phones and cameras to take the perfect snapshots to celebrate All American Pet Photo day! Meet Carlton Senior Living’s spotlight resident, John Connelly – John Robert Connelly was born on May 6, 1934 and spent a great deal of his life in Sacramento. As a young adult, John attended and earned his high school diploma from C.K. McClatchy High School. After graduation, he moved to Chicago, Illinois in order to attend the University of Chicago. There he recalls that he spent most his freshman year completing undergraduate and general education requirements. Soon after John completed his first year of college, he enlisted in the military. Meet Timothy Armstrong, Carlton Senior Living spotlight resident – Timothy was born in 1955 in Sacramento, California. He was raised by mother, Dorothy Meadows, and stepfather, Robert Meadows. He has a stepsister, a stepbrother and two half-brothers named Tony and John. Timothy was previously married to Elizabeth and has two stepchildren, Scott and Tim. He also has three granddaughters. Prior to his retirement, Timothy was employed as an audiologist for seven years at Sutter Hearing Speech Center. She was born and raised in the bustling city of San Francisco, California along with her three siblings. When it was to go to work Beverly remained in San Francisco and, for over 13 years, she found success as Faculty Support for UC Hastings College of Law, the first law school in California. In 2012, Beverly was honored with the prestigious Rummel Award for her tireless efforts in helping to secure clerkship for UC Hastings students, in addition to her work for about 20 full-time professors. “Make A Difference Day” is held on the fourth Saturday every October but you don’t have to wait for a special day to make a difference. In the wake of the recent wildfires in Napa and Sonoma counties, there have been countless opportunities to make a difference by assisting those in need and giving back to the community. When news of the fires first broke, Carlton Senior Living contacted disaster relief services and local hospitals to offer shelter and services to seniors who had been displaced by the fires. Meet Judith Smith, Carlton Senior Living’s spotlight resident – Judith was born in the Great Plains state of North Dakota where she lived briefly before her family moved west to California in 1943.
