Carlton Senior Living has partnered with the Contra Costa Blue Star Moms for many years to provide support for members of the United States Armed Forces and its veterans. “Make A Difference Day” is held on the fourth Saturday every October but you don’t have to wait for a special day to make a difference. In the wake of the recent wildfires in Napa and Sonoma counties, there have been countless opportunities to make a difference by assisting those in need and giving back to the community. Toy Soldiers Reign Over San Leandro

As part of our contribution to our local city programs, activities, and improvements, Carlton Senior Living San Leandro recently sponsored a toy soldier as a token of support for the San Leandro Downtown Association, and to bring a bit of whimsical charm to our downtown during the holiday season. According to German folklore, nutcrackers were given as keepsakes to bring good luck to your family and protect your home. Celebrating the Holidays with Our Local Boy Scouts

Boy Scouts troop #506 made their annual holiday visit to Carlton San Leandro to sing Christmas carols for our residents, which of course spread many smiles. Troop #506 is from our local Roosevelt Elementary School. This beloved tradition came on a very special day for the Scouts, being that it was their 75th anniversary of being a chartered troop. Residents of CSL Downtown Pleasant Hill Appreciate our Firefighters!

Thank You Firefighters - Downtown Pleasant Hill

Residents and associates at Carlton Senior Living Downtown Pleasant Hill packaged pumpkin spice and apple harvest cookies and delivered them to the local fire station as a way to thank our special men and women in service. Some of the residents also walked to the fire station and other were able to tag along in the Carlton bus. The residents really enjoyed doing something special for their local firefighters and the firefighters certainly enjoyed the tasty treats.

Carlton Senior Living Event Raises $1,500 For Special Needs Athletes Carlton Senior Living Sacramento hosted a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on July 5, 2016 that brought in $1,500 to benefit special needs athletes. More than 200 people attended, including guests and residents of the Carlton Senior Living community. The money raised at the event was donated to Pathways to Recreation, a nonprofit that provides advocacy, education and funding for people with disabilities in Sacramento County.
