We have heard your concerns about recently implemented policies, requests and directives associated with containing the COVID-19 virus both here at Carlton and in the larger community. As you know, this is a serious matter and it is imperative that you follow all protocols and directives from public health officials.
Throughout the last week, Carlton Elk Grove residents who displayed any COVID-19 symptoms were tested for the virus. Out of the tests taken, one has returned positive. The affected resident is remaining in their apartment isolated from other residents and is being monitored 24/7. Additionally, we have put in place rigorous measures to prevent staff transmission from any case involving COVID-19. Officials from public health will be closely monitoring this resident and adjusting any protocols within our community as needed to protect your health and safety.
As a result of this development, you will soon be receiving a public health order requiring all residents to stay in their apartments for the time being. To be clear, this order is for your well-being and the protection of all residents and staff in the community. Again — It is imperative that you follow all directives to ensure we are doing everything we can to contain any spread of the virus.
We understand that everyone would like to know where this started, who the resident is and how the infection developed. As you know, it is our responsibility to protect the privacy of all our residents.
