Projects With Purpose

Projects with a Purpose at Carlton Senior LivingProjects with Purpose is led by our phenomenal Resident Liaison team. The team coordinates and maintains our community volunteer opportunities through one internal community service project each quarter. The purpose of the project as well as the receiving community agency, neighborhood program and/or population are selected by our residents at each Carlton community.

We’re thrilled to spotlight our Carlton Downtown Pleasant Hill and Carlton Fremont communities. Both locations decided to complete a Project with Purpose entitled, “Carlton Cupids.” For a small donation, families, residents and staff were offered the opportunity to have a valentine and gift delivered to the person of their choosing. Both communities covered the costs of the supplies and all donations received were donated to the receiving agency chosen by the residents.

Residents at Carlton Downtown Pleasant Hill selected Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa and thanks to the generosity and support of close to 50 participants, the community raised and donated $1600. The donations collected help to support the mission of Loaves and Fishes “to feed the hungry of Contra Costa County by providing free hot nutritious meals at dining facilities in local communities where there is need.”

Residents at Carlton Fremont selected St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and thanks to the generosity and support of their participants, the community raised and donated $300. The donations collected help to support the mission of St. Jude’s “to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.”
